Law enforcement agencies are ready to respond to any destabilization scenarios in Ukraine — Denis Monastyrsky
The Minister of Internal Affairs of Ukraine said this during the tactical and special exercises of units of the Ministry of Internal Affairs system with combat shooting, which took place in the city of Pripyat, Kyiv region today, February 4.
Rescuers, policemen and guards worked out actions during the crisis situation and fighting in the urbanized area.
The head of the Ministry of Internal Affairs said that the trainings confirmed the coherence of the interaction of employees of the Ministry of Internal Affairs system, including the specifics of the work of each unit in the most difficult situations to overcome various kinds of dangers.
“The purpose of these exercises was to develop interaction. Goal achieved. Employees of all departments of the Ministry of Internal Affairs worked absolutely at a high professional level,” Denys Monastyrsky stressed.
In addition, the Minister informed that in the future it is planned to conduct a series of exercises, including joint exercises with the Armed Forces of Ukraine at training grounds in Western Ukraine.
“From February 9 to 12, we plan to hold a series of exercises in the east and in the central regions of Ukraine. The exercises will take place according to the scenario of seizure already in real settlements, namely — the seizure of the administrative building — the city council, the district state administration or the police department,” the head of the Ministry of Internal Affairs said.
He also stressed that the National Police, together with the Security Service of Ukraine, this week detected and prevented one of the scenarios of political internal destabilization in the country.
“Attempts of internal destabilization in Ukraine may continue in the future. Law enforcement agencies and the Armed Forces of Ukraine are ready for any scenario. It is during the training that we identify deficiencies to eliminate them and take them into account in the future. We are doing everything to ensure an effective, timely response,” the minister said.
