Law enforcers stopped the activities of an organized group that produced false documents
Employees of the Department of Internal Security and investigators of the Civil Service of the National Police on illegal activities exposed a group of persons who produced false documents of state bodies on order. Law enforcement officers found out that among the members of the group are two former policemen.
It was established that residents of Kyiv, Kyiv region and Khmelnytskyi region arranged the production of fake documents, including with holographic elements and emblems issued by the executive authorities.
Among the documents forged by the attackers are driver's licenses, certificates of registration of vehicles, certificates of various state authorities and law enforcement agencies, diplomas of education, marriage, birth and death certificates.
The criminal group searched for customers through the Internet, they worked only on a full subscription. After the execution of the “order”, the accomplices sent fake documents by mail, and the profit received was divided among themselves.
According to internal security materials, investigators of the National Police began criminal proceedings under Art. 199 (Manufacture, storage, acquisition, transportation, shipment, import into Ukraine for use in the sale of goods, sale or sale of counterfeit money, state securities, state lottery tickets, excise tax stamps or holographic protective elements) and art. 358 (Forgery of documents, seals, stamps and forms, sale or use of forged documents, seals, stamps) of the Criminal Code of Ukraine.
The police collected the evidence base of the group's criminal activities, and the fact of forgery was proved by the examination of the documents produced and sold by the attackers.
Law enforcement officers conducted 18 authorized searches of the defendants, and then seized forged documents, money, stamps and seals, mobile phones, rough records.
At the moment, three accomplices have already been informed of the suspicion. Police investigators are preparing to hand over suspects to other defendants. The pre-trial investigation is ongoing.
