Within the framework of the joint special operation of investigators of the National Police and the Security Service of Ukraine, 74 searches were carried out and 20 cells of the criminal group “ALLATRA”, which acted in pro-Russian interests, were blocked.

Members of the group publicly promoted the ideas of creating a “union of Slavic peoples”, “peace at any cost” and other pro-Kremlin narratives, and in police audio intercepts of private conversations of their leaders at the beginning of the Russian invasion — discuss the need for missile strikes on civilians and objects in the west of Ukraine in order to break the resistance of Ukrainians in the war.

Television, radio and social networks were used to distribute veiled pro-Russian propaganda, which gathered more than half a million followers. Such coverage of the online audience allowed the organizers to control it remotely from one of the countries of the European Union, where they left in the spring of 2022, using fake documents on military deregistration.

During this time, the leaders of “ALLATRA” managed to create “branches” in the Russian Federation, Belarus and several countries of Europe and Asia.

Thus, during searches at the headquarters of the sect and the places of residence of its members in Kiev, Kharkiv, Kirovohrad, Sumy, Dnipropetrovsk, Lviv, Volyn and other regions of Ukraine, evidence of illegal activities of the defendants, including documents, Russian propaganda literature was found authors, occult symbolism, portraits of Putin, Russian currency and weapons.

On the basis of the evidence collected by the National Police, the leader of the criminal organization, under the procedural guidance of the Office of the Prosecutor General, was informed of the suspicion immediately under four articles of the Criminal Code of Ukraine, namely: treason (Article 111); justification, recognition of legality, denial of armed Russian aggression against Ukraine, glorification of its participants (Article 436-2), production, dissemination of communist, Nazi symbols and propaganda of communist and Nazi totalitarian regimes (Article 436-1) and creation, leadership of a criminal community or organization, as well as participation in it (Art. 255).

In addition, the other five organizers of this group have received a notice of suspicion under similar articles and procedural measures are taken in order to deliver them in the manner prescribed by law.

Criminals face a sentence of up to 15 years in prison with confiscation of property or life imprisonment.

An investigation is underway to identify all active participants of the criminal organization — according to preliminary data, their number may reach about fifty people.
