Rules of conduct during school holidays: police advice
23.10.2023 12:20
School holidays have begun. So the police remind parents of safety rules.
To make holidays safer for children, follow these rules:
- Do not leave children unattended, be attentive to them and their behavior.
- Control where and with whom your children are, what they do.
- If the baby has to be left at home - conduct safety briefing and leave numbers where you can contact for help. The child should have a list of the necessary numbers of close relatives so that in case of emergency the child knows who to call.
- When letting the child go for a walk, remind her to follow the rules of the road.
- Attach reflective elements to your children's clothes - this will make them visible to drivers in the dark or in conditions of limited visibility. But it would be better if your children returned from a walk home before dark.
- Tell us about the harmfulness of alcohol, drugs and tobacco, as well as what the use of these substances can lead to.
- Talk to your children about mine hazards. Explain why you can not approach suspicious objects on the street.
- Conduct an explanatory work with them about online safety.
