Today, August 23, and tomorrow, August 24, Ukraine celebrates the National Flag Day and the 31st anniversary of Ukraine's Independence. Given the situation associated with Russia's armed aggression against Ukraine, the likelihood of missile attacks on the territory of our state is not excluded. So citizens should follow the safety rules. This was said during the briefing by the spokeswoman of the Ministry of Internal Affairs Alyona Matveeva.

“The “air alarm” signal cannot be ignored, and this week it is necessary to follow the recommendations on safety measures especially carefully. This year, the number of mass events is minimized, this is a forced and necessary step during the period of martial law. Reinforced uniforms, cynologists, explosives technicians, investigative and operational teams will work in the places of the events to respond to reports of the detection or use of explosive devices, firearms, the occurrence of fires or other emergencies,” the spokeswoman of the Ministry of Internal Affairs said.

According to her, it is possible to intensify the work of sabotage groups of the enemy in order to destabilize the situation inside the country.

“Currently, monitoring and collecting information on possible training by individuals or DRG of provocations, conflict situations and terrorist acts are being carried out. Therefore, we ask citizens to avoid crowded places, not to violate curfew and to stay in shelters during air alarms,” Alyona Matveeva summed up.
