The position of the Ministry of Internal Affairs regarding the accident with the participation of the People's Deputy Oleksandr Trukhin, which took place on 23.08.2021
The People's Deputy of Ukraine is a special subject of criminal proceedings. Criminal proceedings in which he may appear as a suspect are subject to the investigation of the State Bureau of Investigation.
Due to the fact that in the course of the investigation the police received facts that indicated that the Audi car could be driving the People's Deputy of Ukraine, the criminal proceedings were transferred from the National Police to the State Bureau of Investigation.
Because of this, we emphasize that all attempts to represent the essence of the case in such a way that allegedly the People's Deputy of Ukraine O. Trukhin tried to “agree” on something with the Minister of Internal Affairs of Ukraine does not correspond to reality.
Police officers conscientiously fulfilled their official duties to document this accident.
The establishment of all facts and circumstances of the accident with the participation of the People's Deputy of Ukraine and the adoption of the relevant procedural decisions belong to the powers of the State Bureau of Investigation.
