Fires in ecosystems of Kharkiv and Mykolaiv region: rescuers warn of danger
On August 24, two fires occurred in the Nikolaev area on the territory of forest glades.
In the morning, the hardwood flooring and dry grass in the forest tract “Bila Gora” of the Bashtansky district caught fire. The fire was extinguished by forestry workers on an area of 8000 sq. m.
At 16:24, the 101 hotline received a report of a fire of coniferous flooring and dry grass in the Balovno-Matvievsky forest tract. At 17:20 the fire was extinguished on an area of 1.6 hectares by the joint efforts of rescuers, foresters and the local population. The first cause of the fire was arson.
Forest fires are quite difficult to eliminate, because usually there are no sources of water supply near the combustion center, and in such heat, in the presence of wind, the fire spreads with incredible speed. So do not provoke fires, do not burn forests, be conscious.
Also, the enemy again fired on the private sector of the city. Volchansk.
In the afternoon of August 24, the occupiers carried out a massive artillery strike on the border town of Volchansk, Chuguev district of Kharkiv region. As a result of shelling near the private sector, dry grass and a wooden electrical support were set on fire.
The total area of the fire was about 2 hectares. In addition, private residential buildings and buildings of a local agricultural enterprise were damaged. Firefighters extinguished the fire under constant enemy fire. According to preliminary data, there are no casualties or casualties.
Rescuers appeal to citizens and urge to be conscious and take care of fire safety rules in open areas. The fighting and hot weather and so lead to a lot of fires, so don't help the enemy burn your native land!
A hot weekend is ahead: an extraordinary level of fire danger has been established in a large area of Ukraine.
Just one unlit match under such conditions can cause large-scale burning of a forest area, a field, destroy private homes, and even lead to the death of people.
Remember — to eliminate fires, considerable human and financial resources are spent! Be responsible! Do not provoke burning in ecosystems!
Burning dry vegetation is an uncontrollable process. Quite quickly, a minor fire can develop into a large-scale fire. So, if you suddenly notice a fire, do not delay and urgently call the Rescue Service at “101”!
