The Minister of Internal Affairs of Ukraine Igor Klimenko met in Vilnius with the Minister of Internal Affairs of Finland Marie Rantanen.

“Finland's assistance is most focused on strengthening the capabilities of Ukrainian rescuers. Only at the beginning of this week, the State Emergency Service of Ukraine received 9 specialized cars from Finnish colleagues,” the head of the Ministry of Internal Affairs wrote in his Telegram channel.

In addition, Igor Klimenko noted that during the meeting they agreed on the organization of trainings for rescuers in Finland. Colleagues are impressed by the work of Ukrainian contingents during the full-scale invasion and want to adopt the practical experience gained.

“Protecting critical infrastructure and ensuring the safety of the population in the autumn-winter period are now priorities. And in this direction, too, we can count on the support of Finland. According to Ms. Rantanen, new aid packages are already being formed. We are grateful to the Government and the people of Finland for the constant support and shelter of more than 64,000 Ukrainian citizens. With the help of such friends, we will certainly overcome the common enemy,” the Minister of Internal Affairs of Ukraine stressed.
