Officials of “Kyivmedspetstrans” caused losses to the state of UAH 12 million on the purchase of spare parts for the special medical institution
Attackers with forged documents held a tender and received spare parts from suppliers to a special medical institution at an inflated price.
Law enforcers exposed criminal activities of officials of Kyivmedspettrans and heads of organizations that appropriated state funds.
“The organizer of the criminal group and her accomplices, in preliminary collusion with the head of the department and the heads of the supplier organizations, forged documents about the excessive cost of spare parts for the special medical service, which are not true. In order to hide the traces of the seizure of funds in favor of the heads of companies, they turned to an expert institution, which would provide an opinion on the market value of spare parts. So the violators held a tender, forged documents and sold spare parts to the special medical center at an inflated price. The amount of damage reaches 12 million hryvnias,” Roman Hryshchenko, the investigator of the Shevchenko police department, said.
Investigators informed 10 members of the organized crime group about the suspicion of committing crimes. The defendants face imprisonment for a term of 7 to 12 years with deprivation of the right to hold certain positions or engage in certain activities for a period of up to three years and with confiscation of property.
