Advice to citizens when using the generator
Today, due to planned power outages, many citizens are switching to a backup power source, in particular generators. During its application, it is necessary to know the basic correction of handling in order to avoid emergency situations.
The generator can only be used outdoors. The location from the building should be at least 6 meters, remember, the exhaust gases from the electrical appliance are life-threatening.
Also protect the generator from moisture. You must have rubber gloves and boots or any other shoes with rubber soles.
Before turning on the generator, check the condition of the wiring. Do not mix different types of lubricants, this also applies to fuel. You can refuel the generator only when it is turned off (if you have already turned it on and need to refuel - wait until all the parts cool down).
Do not leave fuel near the generator, because it can catch fire.
Do not change the design of the electrical appliance yourself.
In addition, you should always have a powder or carbon dioxide fire extinguisher on hand! The person who extinguishes the ignition of the generator should remember that the distance from the fire extinguisher nozzle to the burning electrical installation must be at least 1 meter.
