129 servicemen and employees of the Ministry of Internal Affairs received state and departmental awards
On the Day of Ukrainian Statehood, the Minister of Internal Affairs Denis Monastyrsky presented state and departmental awards to servicemen, policemen, rescuers, doctors and employees of the Ministry of Internal Affairs.
For high professional skill, personal courage and courage, steadfastness and determination in the performance of military and official duty in conditions of risk to life during measures to ensure national security and defense, repelling and deterring armed aggression of the Russian Federation, impeccable service to the Ukrainian people 129 people were awarded. Of these, 31 received state awards, another 98 received departmental honors and firearms.
“In today's speech, President Volodymyr Zelensky noted that every day, today, yesterday and tomorrow, will be the Day of Ukrainian Statehood. Now we are at the epicenter of great historical events that will enter the lives of each of us with an important page. I can say that the most important events and feats of each of us are still ahead, as well as our victory - also ahead. Victory in this war depends on our unity, on our resilience and on our courage. Let us be worthy of Ukrainian statehood, let us be worthy of ourselves, because after us the holidays of Sofia, behind us Mariupol, behind us Donetsk, behind us Crimea, behind us the whole of Ukraine,” said Denis Monastyrsky.
The Minister noted that everyone present with sweat and blood has campaigned and continues to fight for statehood for Ukraine.
“On the Statehood Day of Ukraine, we all understand well that the terrible war that continues today is being waged, in particular, for the right to respect our history, for the right to respect our ancestors, for the right to consider ourselves a free and independent state. Not an appendage, not an autonomy, but an independent state. That is why this day is celebrated, in particular, by those who defend it, those who fight for its safety throughout the territory,” the minister added.
The head of the Ministry of Internal Affairs thanked all the laureates for their contribution to the defense of the country's independence. He wished those present to celebrate the next Day of Ukrainian Statehood already on the constitutionally recognized borders of Ukraine and in every liberated city of our state.
