More than 500 thousand hryvnias of damage: law enforcement officers reported suspicion to official
Law enforcement officers exposed the illegal actions of the 59-year-old chief engineer of the Municipal Enterprise “Road and Operation Department for the repair and maintenance of highways and structures on them, Svyatoshinsky district of the city. Kyiv”.
The defendant concluded a contract with a private enterprise for the performance of works on the restoration of asphalt concrete coating after carrying out engineering works on laying the heating network at several objects.However, the official did not take measures to verify the availability of grounds for carrying out such works. And therefore, he improperly performed his official duties.
As a result, losses in the amount of UAH 567,900 were caused to the territorial community of Kyiv.
The defendant was informed of the suspicion of committing the crime provided for in Part 2 of Art. 367 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine - official negligence, that is, improper performance of their official duties due to unfair treatment of them, which caused serious consequences for state interests protected by law.
The sanction of the article provides for imprisonment for a term of two to five years with deprivation of the right to hold certain positions or engage in certain activities for a period of up to three years and with a fine of two hundred fifty to seven hundred and fifty non-taxable minimum incomes of citizens or without such.
