More than 100 Violators Detained at Western Borders in a Week
101 offenders were detained for attempting to illegally cross the state border. 87 of them tried to illegally cross the border outside the checkpoints, another 14 people tried to enter neighboring countries through the current crossing points.
Over the past week, 511 thousand people and almost 117 thousand vehicles crossed the borders of Ukraine with the EU and Moldova. The intensity of passenger traffic, compared to the previous week, increased by about 10%.
Inspectors at checkpoints exposed 23 people, citizens of Ukraine, who tried to use documents with signs of forgery while leaving the country. In their actions, signs of offenses provided for by Articles 336 and 358 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine are seen.
Another 493 people were refused passage across the state border due to lack of legal grounds.
Also last week, the border guards brought 80 people to justice for committing offenses, imposed fines in the amount of 65 thousand hryvnias and issued 413 cars with humanitarian assistance.
