Poland has expanded the possibilities of using Ukrainian documents that allow participation in road traffic
This became possible after Poland introduced amendments to the Law “On Assistance to Citizens of Ukraine in connection with the armed conflict in the territory of this State”. The new rules were adopted on January 13, 2023.
In accordance with these changes, a driver's license issued in Ukraine will be considered valid in Poland until December 31, 2023, even if the validity of such a license has expired. As well as all citizens who entered the territory of Poland by car on state registration plates of Ukraine and who have a vehicle registration certificate issued in our country, can freely move around the territory of the Republic until December 31, 2023 without leaving the territory of Ukraine.
This provision applies to all citizens of Ukraine who are legally in the territory of the Republic of Poland, including those who were in Poland until February 24, 2022.

The main service center of the Ministry of Internal Affairs in turn reminds that in cooperation with the passport service of the State Enterprise “Dokument” in Poland, the service of exchanging the national driver's license for the same Ukrainian driver's licenses is provided in 4 centers:
Warsaw, 02-222, Aleji Jerozolimskie, 179 (shopping center “Blue City”, 2nd floor);
Gdansk, 80-309, Aleja Grunwaldzka 415;
Krakow,31-154, Pawia, 5 (shopping center “Galeria Krakowska”, 2nd floor, entrance from the parking of sector C); Wroclaw, 54-118, Aleja Śląska (Tartarska) Arena).
