The police started more than 26.5 thousand criminal proceedings on the facts of crimes committed by Russian servicemen and their accomplices — Igor Klymenko
This was announced by the Head of the National Police of Ukraine today, August 5.
According to Igor Klymenko, during the large-scale war, the National Police of Ukraine received and processed about 3.8 million appeals from citizens:
“More than 119,000 crimes were recorded. This is 4% less than last year. In almost 40 thousand criminal offenses, persons have been informed of suspicions. She initiated more than 26.5 thousand criminal proceedings on the facts of crimes committed by Russian servicemen and their accomplices. She opened more than 1100 criminal proceedings for collaboration. 189 people are in the status of suspects. 93 indictments have already been transferred to the courts.”
Police documented more than 28.6 thousand property crimes, of which more than 27.5 thousand were thefts. More than 7.2 thousand suspects have been identified.
During checks at checkpoints, the police identified 460 wanted persons and more than 3.5 thousand suspected persons, probably involved in illegal activities. And more than 1.4 thousand vehicles were found that were wanted.
“We found 4,142 missing children. 211 children are still being sought. In total, 359 children were killed and more than 700 injured as a result of shelling and hostilities,” Igor Klymenko said.
Also during this period, the police registered more than 30 thousand. ACCIDENT. The number of accidents has decreased by more than 2.5 times. The number of deaths on the roads decreased by 30% - 917 people died as a result of car accidents.
In addition, the police blocked more than 4.7 thousand hostile information channels with a total audience of more than 34.5 million users.
“This list of results is far from complete. Our police officers adequately perform their tasks in all areas of work. And each in his place, with his daily work, proves that the strength of Ukrainians is in unity and commitment,” said Igor Klymenko.
