Police of Nikopol document the consequences of enemy shelling
Today, on the night of July 21-22, Russian troops twice shelled the city of Nikopol. Currently, investigative and operational teams, forensic experts, explosives technicians and district police inspectors are working at the scene.
As a result of shelling, private houses were damaged, there are ruptures of the gas plant and water supply. The railway track was destroyed. A total of 27 reports of destruction and damage were received.
Police officers are at the scene of the shelling and, together with rescuers, provide assistance to the victims and interact with emergency services, protect the territory so that citizens are not injured by unexploded ordnance.
For each fact of a war crime, criminal proceedings are opened under Art. 438 (violation of the rules and customs of war) of the Criminal Code of Ukraine.
