Kyiv police detained a man for a false report about the demolition of the airport
Yesterday, February 14, at about 12:00 hours, a man called the police and reported the demolition of the Boryspil airport. To avoid responsibility, he reported that he had arrived and was in the city of Kharkiv.
According to the approved instructions, employees of the explosives service of the Main Directorate together with airport police officers, employees of the special purpose regiment of the Kiev region, inspectors of the patrol police in the city. Boryspil, the dog service of Kyiv region and aviation security inspected the premises of Terminal “D” and the adjacent territory of the airport.
During the inspection, no suspicious items were found. Airport “Boryspil” has not stopped its work and is operating as usual.
Police officers of Boryspil RUP conducted a number of actions and established the identity of the offender and his whereabouts. He turned out to be a 61-year-old resident of the village of Kozliv, who was in the village of Semenovka in a state of intoxication.
The offender was detained in accordance with Article 208 of the Criminal Procedure Code of Ukraine. Also, the offender has seized a mobile phone from which a call about a false message was made.
On this fact, criminal proceedings have been opened under Part 1 of Art. 259 (Knowingly false report of a threat to the safety of citizens, destruction or damage to property objects) of the Criminal Code of Ukraine. The offender faces punishment in the form of imprisonment for a term of two to six years.
