Police document consequences of night mass shelling of Nikolaev and region
Today, August 14, at night, Russian troops once again attacked Nikolaev and the settlements of Galitsinove and Shyroke. Information on damage and casualties is established. Police units work at the scene.
Yesterday, August 13, the regional center, Berezneguvate, Pervomaiske, Bila Krynytsya, Shiroke, Lepetikha, Kavkaz Bereznehuvate, Pervomaisk and Shyrokivska communities were subjected to enemy shelling.
Residential buildings, a shop, cars, agricultural buildings were damaged. Among the civilian population there are dead and injured.
For all the facts of violation of the laws and customs of war, criminal proceedings were opened under Art. 438 Criminal Code of Ukraine.
During the day, the police processed 713 reports from citizens. The vast majority of appeals concerned the consequences of war crimes.
The overall security situation in the city and region is currently tense, but under control. All law enforcement agencies work in an enhanced wartime regime. Police officers on the streets ensure law and order and serve at checkpoints.
We ask residents of Nikolaev and the region not to neglect air alarm signals and stay in shelters during times of danger.
