Police neutralized the “White Brotherhood”, which sold drugs with a profit of UAH 50 million a year (VIDEO)
Every month, members of the criminal organization received almost 10 kg of “master clades” with prohibited substances, from which amphetamine, PVP salts and methadone were packaged and distributed. In addition, cannabis was grown on backyard plots for sale and a laboratory was equipped to make psychotropics.
According to operational data of criminal police officers, drug trafficking established a 44-year-old criminal authority from the criminal group “White Brotherhood”, the main composition of which the police liquidated in 2018. In his criminal plan, he involved 16 people who were responsible for the manufacture, packaging, distribution and sale of drugs in the territory of Nikopol and Pokrovsk, Dnipropetrovsk region, with a turnover of almost 4 million hryvnias per month.
In order to hide the illegal activity, drug dealers, on the instructions of their leader, constantly changed the addresses of drug packaging, SIM cards and bank accounts, through which funds obtained from the “business” were transferred. To eliminate the drug syndicate, 480 police officers from the Main Investigation Department, Departments and Territorial Departments of Criminal Investigation and Drug Crime Control were involved under the procedural guidance of the Office of the Prosecutor General. With the strong support of the special purpose police regiment, law enforcement officers conducted 70 searches of the places of residence of the defendants and other real estate that they use.
According to the police, the defendants received almost 10 kg of so-called “master clades” with prohibited substances, from which 3,000 doses of amphetamine, 5,000 doses of A-PVP salts and 2,000 doses of methadone were packaged and distributed. The accomplices also equipped a laboratory for the manufacture of prohibited substances.
Investigators seized almost ten kg of cannabis and more than two kilograms of synthetic drugs, in addition to tank and hand machine guns, four grenade launchers, six pistols, three drones, more than 500 rounds of various calibers, mobile phones and computer equipment and more than two million hryvnias in various currencies Ti.
According to the results of investigative actions in the order of Art. 208 Criminal Procedure Code of Ukraine detained 17 members of a criminal organization, including their leader. 2 co-organizers and participants of the criminal organization were informed of suspicion of creating and leading a criminal organization and participation in it (Part 1 and Part 2 of Art. 255 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine) and illegal manufacture, acquisition, storage, transportation and sale of narcotic drugs and psychotropic substances (Part 3 of Art. 307 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine).
The chosen preventive measure is detention without the right of bail. The defendants face up to 12 years in prison.
