Police detained a man for trying to sell RPG-22 firearms
Employees of the criminal police, together with investigators of the Dnipro district police department, documented the fact of the sale of weapons. A 37-year-old local resident sold a grenade launcher for 10 thousand hryvnias, after which he was detained by law enforcement officers at the scene of the crime.
During the search of the suspect's residence, the police found and seized five more shells of RGD-type grenades and three UzRGM-2 incendiaries. The man was detained in accordance with Article 208 of the Criminal Procedure Code of Ukraine.
The investigators, in agreement with the prosecutor of the Central District Prosecutor's Office of the city of Dnipro, informed the detainee about the suspicion of committing a criminal offense provided for in Part 1 of Art. 263 (illegal handling of weapons, ammunition or explosives) of the Criminal Code of Ukraine.
The question of choosing a precautionary measure for him is being resolved. A pre-trial investigation is ongoing.
