Police of Kherson region opened 46 criminal proceedings on facts of war crimes of Russian occupiers
Over the past two days, enemy troops have been shelling residential districts of Kherson, Kherson and Beryslav districts around the clock. The Russian army attacked civilians with heavy artillery, “Grad” and mortars. The shells ruptured in homes, in yards, roads and fields.
In the regional center, the occupiers set fire to Zhytloshilyshche, Tavria and Karabelny microdistricts, Antonivka village and Chornobayivka village. There are dead and wounded. In Chornobayivka, during shelling, a shrapnel from a shell flew into the house and injured a 10-year-old boy. The child with a mine blast injury and shrapnel wounds was taken to the hospital.
From residents of Kherson, the police receive reports of persons who participated in a pseudo-referendum and voted for the city to join the Russian Federation. This information is carefully checked, photos and video evidence are collected, testimonies of city residents.
The police opened criminal proceedings regarding collaborative activities in relation to a resident of the city of Genichesk. It was established that the woman took the side of the enemy and voluntarily took the position of “director of the city school”.
In the city of Genichesk, the identities of four local residents are installed, among which there are former deputies of the city council, who are now actively cooperating with the occupation authorities. There is information that the collaborators took possession of three recreation centers and all the property available there.
The police establish the identity and circumstances of the death of the man, whose body was found on the river bank in the territory of the Mylivska hromada. The body is sent for examination to determine the causes of death.
In the village of Velyka Oleksandrivka under the conditions of martial law, unknown persons stole 80 coffins from the territory of the production cooperative. According to this fact, the police opened criminal proceedings.
Residents who returned home to the newly de-occupied territories report that their homes were looted by the Russians and some homes destroyed and set on fire by the occupiers.
In total, over the past two days, Russian military law enforcement officers opened 46 criminal proceedings on violations of the laws and customs of war.
