Police of Kherson region opened 38 criminal proceedings on facts of war crimes of the Russian army
Russian military does not stop shelling settlements in Beryslav district, destroying people's housing, shops and educational institutions. And from the left bank of the Dnieper, the enemy is shelling the recently liberated Kherson with mortars and long-range artillery around the clock.
Over the past two days, the Russian military has raided residential neighborhoods to inflict as much damage as possible on civilians and the city's infrastructure. Under enemy fire were the neighborhood of Karabel, the district Vostochny, HBK, s. Kindiyka and Antonivka.
Due to shelling in Antonivka and Dniprovskyi district, private houses on five streets, several high-rise buildings, pharmacy premises were damaged. Five people were injured as a result of the shelling, one woman and another resident died in hospital.
In addition, a resident of Antonovka village appealed to the police with a report that on November 19, during enemy rocket shelling of the village, her husband was killed and the house destroyed.
Due to enemy shelling, the neighborhood Karabel was significantly damaged, where high-rise buildings, a shop, a car service station, a car wash were significantly damaged, garage cooperative, private houses, splintered cars, broke down trolleybus lines.
Also recorded hits on the territory of the shipyard. At the sites of shelling, police officers work, remove fragments of enemy weapons, record crimes. Over the past day, the police opened 38 criminal proceedings on the facts of war crimes of the Russian army in the Kherson region.
On the territory of the Osokoriv village council due to constant shelling by the Russian army, land plots were damaged, as a result of which farmers did not receive this year's harvest and the sowing campaign for the 2023 harvest on an area of more than 18 thousand hectares was disrupted.
During the occupation of Kherson, the Russian military plundered a company for the manufacture and sale of professional tools. The occupiers took out all the products and the service car.
There were reports from the village Stara Zburivka and the village of Mala Kardashinka that 10-15 people are living in private houses, engaged in looting (removing household appliances from their homes).
The police continue to receive reports of abductions of local residents by the Russian military and representatives of the FSB during the occupation of Kherson. Nothing is known about the fate of the missing.
A 48-year-old Kherson resident reported to the police about torture by the military of the Russian Federation. The man said that on the street he was stopped by the Russian military, put a bag on his head and taken in an unknown direction. As the applicant later learned, he was taken to the city of Nova Kakhovka, where he and other citizens were kept in a garage. There, the man was constantly beaten with a wooden stick. After seven days in captivity, the man was taken to Kherson and released, taking away the documents.
During the stabilization measures in Chornobayivka village, police officers found in the administrative building of the police station, which was seized by the Russian military during the occupation, documents regulating the activities of the occupation police and other physical evidence of war crimes of the occupiers.
For all the facts of Russian aggression against the civilian population, law enforcement officers opened criminal proceedings under Article 438 (Violation of the laws and customs of war) of the Criminal Code of Ukraine.
