Police opened criminal proceedings on the fact of false reporting of a crime

The Shevchenko Police Department received a statement from the People's Deputies of Ukraine regarding the possible commission of a criminal offense by a citizen of Ukraine.
The offense consists in a knowingly false report of a crime, namely the submission of an application to the State Bureau of Investigation about the commission of a crime by a people's deputy.
Investigators opened criminal proceedings under Part 1 of Art. 383 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine — knowingly false report of the commission of a criminal offense.
