Police opened 21 criminal cases related to Russian war crimes in Kherson region
During the day, Russian troops continuously shelled the city of Kherson, suburbs, settlements of Kherson and Beryslav districts. The occupiers covered peaceful neighborhoods with salvo fire missile systems, mortars, tanks, long-range artillery and UAVs. There are dead and wounded.
During the artillery shelling by the occupiers of the village of Bilozerka, a 50-year-old woman was killed, and four more local residents were wounded. In the village of Kizomys, a 52-year-old woman was wounded by shrapnel from a shell.
As a result of the attack from the left bank of the Dnieper, the coastal areas of the regional center were most affected, there were damaged apartment buildings and private houses, as well as warehouses. In the area of the river port, the Russian military opened mortar fire on civilians who crossed the river.
A 68-year-old man died from injuries incompatible with life, another victim with a mine blast injury, chest and hip wounds was hospitalized.
All emergency services of the Ministry of Internal Affairs worked at the scene of the shelling: rescuers assisted the victims, extinguished fires, police investigative and operational teams collected material evidence and documented the consequences.
