Police document consequences of heavy shelling of Kherson region

During the past day, the police responded to 399 statements and reports of criminal offenses and other events in the Kherson region.

The Russians shelled Beryslav and Kherson districts. The enemy attacked the city of Kherson with rocket systems of volley fire and long-range artillery. Once again under enemy attack, the neighborhoods of Karabelny, Tavriyskiy and Zhytloshische. There were recorded attacks on high-rise buildings, some apartments burned out and destroyed to the ground. Unfortunately, there are dead and wounded.

In the Ship area of the city, a 19-year-old boy was injured, who was hospitalized with a mine-blast injury. The occupiers fired on a group of people standing in line at the store, one woman was killed on the spot. Three cases of damage to gas pipes were also recorded.

Three collaborators were exposed in the Bilozersk community. During the stabilization measures, the police established three villagers who cooperated with the occupation authorities and received monthly salaries from them from 10,000 to 40,000 Russian rubles. They held the positions of the so-called deputy chairman of the local occupation authorities, the head of the village communal services and the responsible for economic issues of the occupation authorities.

In the village of Lyubimovka, Beryslav district in the forest zone, a local resident was blown up on a hostile stretch during the cutting of trees. The woman died on the spot.

In Kherson district, during the development of the settlement, local residents told the police that they found objects similar to ammunition outside the village. At the scene, law enforcement officers found 200 152mm shells abandoned by the occupiers. The incident was reported by the State Emergency Service.

From the residents of Kherson, the police receive information daily on the facts of the appropriation by Russian military vehicles of local residents during the occupation of the city. According to Kherson residents, the occupiers stopped them at checkpoints and, threatened with weapons, took away cars. They also came home with illegal searches.

Law enforcers opened criminal proceedings under Article 438 (Violation of laws and customs of war) of the Criminal Code of Ukraine and Article 111-1 (Collaborative activity) of the Criminal Code of Ukraine.
