Police of Chernihiv region detained the suspects in the murder of the family of Kyiv
Police promptly located and detained three defendants who are reasonably suspected of killing a 30-year-old man, a 28-year-old woman and their 4-year-old son.
On May 14, around midnight, the police received a report about the disappearance of a family from Kiev. The couple together with the child went to Chernihiv region to buy a car, after which communication with them was cut off.
The police of the Chernihiv region immediately began a search for the missing persons. In one of the villages of Koryukovsky district, police officers found a burned car of Kiev residents, and 500 meters away - buried bodies with signs of violent death.
The maximum number of personnel of the Chernihiv region police was focused on the search for those involved in the crime. At the scene, forensics seized a number of physical evidence.
To detain the suspects and establish the circumstances of the murder, a specialized working group was created, which included police officers of Chernihiv region, employees of the USSR and colleagues from the police of the Zhytomyr region. It was headed by the chief of police of the Chernihiv region Vladimir Nidzelsky.
In the shortest possible time, the most experienced criminal investigation officers and police investigators, together with the criminal analysis, reproduced the events of that day in a minute.
The police found that the couple decided to buy a car from a friend in Chernihiv region. With them they took a large amount for the purchase and together with their son went for the car. After learning that the people of Kiev were carrying money with them, their 22-year-old acquaintance planned a murder and an armed attack.
On suspicion of the murder of the couple and their son, police officers with the force support of the special unit KORD detained three residents of Koryukivshchyna: two men and a woman.
The attackers shot a car with a family of Kiev residents, and then set it on fire to hide the traces of the crime. They buried the bodies of the murdered not far from the crime scene.
In the course of urgent searches in the homes of intruders, physical evidence was seized.
Currently, the police, under the procedural guidance of the prosecutor's office, investigates criminal proceedings under paragraphs 1, 2, 6 and 12 part 2 of Art. 115 (Premeditated murder) of the Criminal Code of Ukraine.
The defendants face up to 15 years in prison or life imprisonment.
