Police of Kyiv region have exposed a transnational criminal group that forged visas and illegally transported people across the state border
The criminal group illegally transported citizens across the state border of Ukraine to the countries of the European Union by forging visas. The cost of the visa was 1000 Euro.
The activities of the group were exposed by the operatives of the Migration Police Department and investigators of the Kyiv police with the involvement of special agents together with the employees of the State Border Service of Ukraine under the procedural guidance of the Kyiv Regional Prosecutor's Office.
Thus, the members of the group with the help of specially equipped equipment manufactured visas of the countries of the European Union. During the personal meeting, clients paid a deposit of 300 Euro, and two weeks later they received a visa and gave the rest of the amount. The visas themselves were made on the territory of the Russian Federation.
The police established that the group was led by a 34-year-old foreigner who is in Ukraine illegally. At the place of residence of the defendant, law enforcement officers conducted an authorized search and seized cash, forged documents and other physical evidence confirming his involvement in illegal activities.
The foreigner was detained in accordance with Art. 208 of the Criminal Procedure Code of Ukraine. The attacker was informed of the suspicion under Part 3 of Art. 332 (Illegal transfer of persons across the state border of Ukraine). The sanction of the article provides for imprisonment for a period of seven to nine years with deprivation of the right to hold certain positions or engage in certain activities for a period of up to three years with confiscation of property. The court chose a preventive measure for the suspect - detention.
