Police detained an attacker who contributed to the production of fake medical certificates of unsuitability for military service
In the city of Vynohradiv, operatives of the migration police department of the region detained a 40-year-old Kharkiv resident. The defendant is suspected of illegal activity, which consisted in facilitating the movement of men of conscription age across the state border of Ukraine, namely the production of fake medical documents for them. The attacker is currently placed in a temporary detention facility. The investigation into the case is ongoing.
Yesterday, May 2, in the city of Vynohradiv, the operatives of the Transcarpathian Migration Police Department, under the procedural guidance of the Uzhgorod District Prosecutor's Office, together with the employees of the Main Operational Department of the SBI, stopped the criminal activity of a 40-year-old native of Kharkiv, who contributed to the production of fake medical certificates of unsuitability for military service. Having acquired such a document, his clients, men aged 18 to 60 years, despite the established restrictions, had the opportunity to cross the state
border of Ukraine. Such a service cost 20 thousand US dollars.
Police officers detained the attacker immediately after he received payment from the next customer. At the scene of the incident, investigators seized more than 20 thousand dollars in cash from his car of the brand “Mercedes-Benz G63”. In addition, police officers conducted searches
at the temporary residence of the Kharkiv resident - in a room of one of the hotels in Berehovshchyna.
There, the law enforcement officers seized a pistol, cartridges, seals, as well as a laptop, flash drives, mobile phones and other cash in the amount of 40 thousand dollars and about 7 thousand euros. The vehicle of the detainee was also seized - he was placed on the detention site. Currently, in accordance with Article 208 of the Criminal Code According to the Criminal Procedure Code of Ukraine, the suspect is placed in a temporary detention facility.
Investigators have already informed him of the suspicion of committing the crime provided for in Part 3 of Art. 332 (Illegal transfer of persons across the state border of Ukraine) of the Criminal Code of Ukraine.
In addition, at the checkpoint, law enforcement officers found a man who purchased a fake document from an attacker and tried to leave the country's borders with it.
Operatives continue to investigate this case and are currently identifying other persons who may be involved in the crime. According to the sanction of the article, the man faces from 7 to 9 years Imprisonment.
