Police detained an intruder who searched the military for the sale of non-existent goods
The illegal activities of the man, previously convicted of property crimes, were exposed by the officers of the Kyiv Cybercrime Office together with the investigators of the Golosiivskyi Police Department.
The defendant offered tactical knives on social networks, subject to subscription. Having received the money, the attacker stopped communicating with buyers. In this way, he appropriated the money of the fighters fighting on the front lines.
To date, five casualties of the Armed Forces of Ukraine have been identified, which are currently in the combat zone. According to preliminary estimates, the amount of losses is about 70 thousand hryvnias.
At the place of residence of the man, law enforcement officers conducted a search and seized two mobile phones, a laptop and bank cards used in illegal activities.
The suspect may face up to 8 years in prison. The issue of choosing a preventive measure for him in the form of detention is being resolved.
