Police detained a drug dealer and seized drugs worth almost 3 million hryvnias
The attacker received large batches of narcotic substances, packaged them in doses and sold them on the territory of Dobropol region of Donetsk region. In total, more than 2.5 kg of drugs were seized from the man. Drug traffickers face up to 10 years in prison.
In the context of the active phase of hostilities in the region, police continue to expose offenders involved in illegal drug trafficking. Thus, during the elaboration of operational information, employees of the USSR in the Donetsk region of the DSR NPU detained a 25-year-old resident of Dobropol, who was engaged in the sale of narcotic drugs and psychotropic substances. The police found more than 1.5 kg of drugs in the parcel he had just received by post office.
At the place of residence of the defendant, law enforcement officers found and seized more than 500 “checks” with a packaged drug substance with a total weight of more than 1 kilogram. The offender said that he works for one of the drug stores on the Internet. The dealer received bulk batches of prohibited substances, which he packed into doses and laid out in Dobropillia and nearby settlements in the form of “master clades” — large bookmarks. One such “cache” contained 30-50 “checks”. The attacker received money for the “work” on a bank card.
The seized narcotic substances are directed to conduct relevant expert studies. Their estimated cost at “black” market prices is 2.8 million hryvnias. The attacker was detained in accordance with Art. 208 of the Criminal Procedure Code of Ukraine.
Criminal proceedings have been opened in accordance with Part 2 of Art. 307 (Illegal production, manufacture, acquisition, storage, transportation, shipment or sale of narcotic drugs, psychotropic substances or their analogues) of the Criminal Code.
