Police establish the circumstances of the explosion in the apartment in the Desnyansky district of the capital
No one was injured as a result of the incident. The man involved in the crime was detained by law enforcement officers. On this fact, criminal proceedings have been opened.
Today, May 7, the Kiev police received information that a grenade exploded in the apartment on Liskivska Street. To the specified address, the operative on duty immediately sent the uniforms of the police, the investigative task force and doctors.
According to preliminary information, the ammunition detonated due to careless handling. There are no casualties as a result of this incident. The man who illegally stored the grenade was detained by the police under the order of Art. 208 of the Criminal Procedure Code of Ukraine.
The Investigative Department of the Desnyansk Police Department has opened criminal proceedings under Art. 263 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine — illegal handling of weapons and military supplies. The sanction of the article provides for imprisonment for a term of three to seven years.
