Police officers have accused the director of the Ivano-Frankivsk oblast branch of bribery
The official claimed an improper benefit for assisting in the signing of the contract.
As established by the operatives of the Department of Strategic Investigations in the Ivano-Frankivsk region and the investigators of the regional police, the head of the branch of the oblast branch demanded 40 thousand illegal benefits from the entrepreneur. For this amount, he promised to contribute to the signing of the lease agreement and the provision of special equipment on the balance sheet of the branch for the further implementation of work on the arrangement of a land plot in the territory of one of the cities of the region.
Today, February 23, the police officers exposed the official during the receipt of the first part of the illegal benefit - 8400 hryvnia. Priority investigative actions are ongoing. The issue of reporting suspicion under Part 3 of Art is resolved. 368 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine.
The procedural management of the pre-trial investigation is carried out by the Ivano-Frankivsk Regional Prosecutor's Office. For accepting an offer, promise or receipt of an illegal benefit by an official, liability is provided in the form of imprisonment for a period of five to ten years with deprivation of the right to hold certain positions or engage in certain activities for a period of up to three years, with confiscation of property.
