Police exposed a fraudulent call center that operated on the territory of the Shevchenko district of the capital
The other day, police officers of the Shevchenko Police Department documented the illegal activities of a fraudulent call center, which was located in an office space on Hlybochitskaya Street.
This is the third call center since the beginning of the month, the activity of which was suspended by law enforcement officers of the capital. Earlier, the police documented the illegal activities of two more call centers that worked on the territory of the Podolsk district.
At the scene, law enforcement officers found about a hundred workplaces equipped with computer equipment.
Within the framework of the initiated criminal proceedings, a search was carried out in the office premises, where system units, hard drives, mobile phones and work notebooks were seized during the investigative actions. Also in the room were 10 employees of the center, whose persons have already been established.
According to this fact, the investigative department of the Shevchenko Police Department is investigating the criminal proceedings initiated under Part 3 of Art. 190 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine — fraud committed on a large scale or through illegal transactions using electronic computer technology.
The sanction of the article provides for imprisonment for a term of three to eight years.
