Police exposed the supply channel of particularly dangerous drugs: “goods” worth more than 1.2 million UAH were seized (VIDEO)
Police investigators suspect a 26-year-old resident of Kremenchug district in organizing illegal activities. Law enforcement officers seized more than a dozen parcels and more than 70 ready-made bookmarks with methamphetamine, amphetamine, PVP and cannabis from the defendant, as well as about a hundred zip bags with LCD stamps.
Among those seized are also devices for weighing drugs and materials for their packaging, mobile phones, bank cards, SIM cards of various mobile operators, draft records, money and a passenger car.
The illegal “business” was exposed by the operatives of the Department for Combating Drug Crimes of the Regional Police together with the investigators of the Kremenchuk Regional Police Department, under the procedural direction of the Kremenchuk District Prosecutor's Office, with the involvement of a special purpose police battalion.
Currently, a resident of Kremenchuk has been detained in accordance with Article 208 of the Criminal Procedure Code of Ukraine. The defendant has already been informed of the suspicion and the court has chosen a preventive measure - detention with the right to make a bail in the amount of 161 thousand hryvnias.
In criminal proceedings opened under Part 2 of Art. 307 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine, a complex of necessary investigative actions and operational measures to establish persons involved in criminal activities, as well as the source of receipt of narcotic drugs and psychotropic substances, continues.
The sanction of the article provides for a penalty of six to nine years imprisonment with confiscation of property.
