Police opened 1358 criminal proceedings on facts of cooperation with the enemy — Igor Klymenko
223 people have been notified of suspected collaboration. This was announced by the head of the National Police of Ukraine during a briefing at the Military Media Center today, September 16.
Igor Klimenko noted that most of the collaborators, who represented local authorities and law enforcement agencies, left for the Russian Federation. However, among those who went to cooperate with the Russian occupiers, there are also leaders and teachers of educational institutions:
“To date, 19 criminal proceedings have been registered, where school principals, teachers who tried to teach in schools according to Russian programs, brainwashed not only parents, but also students. Four have already been notified of suspicion.”
The head of the National Police stressed that the law is one for everyone, so taking into account the evidence base collected by law enforcement, all those who betrayed Ukraine and went to cooperate with the enemy should be held accountable:
“We work with people every day, and everyone tells us where the head of the local government was during the occupation, where the law enforcement officers were at that time, where there were education workers, etc. We have only been working on the territory of Kharkiv region for a week, so many facts of collaborative activity will still be revealed.”
