Police officers deliver drinking water to people who cannot independently come to the points of issue in the Dnipropetrovsk region
The city of Pokrov is one of the cities of the Nikopol district, which, due to the Russian military's blowing up of the Kakhovskaya hydroelectric power plant since June 8, was completely left without water supply. More than 38,000 local residents and about 9,000 displaced persons were without drinking water.
On the same day, the local authorities organized the delivery of drinking water to the people. The place of extradition was determined, but there were people left who were unable to come and receive it on their own. The police officers of the Nikopol district did not stand aside and together with social workers of the Pokrovsk City Council began to deliver water to those in need.
On June 9, the district police station No. 2 of the Nikopol district police department visited more than 250 people in the city and in the villages of Pokrovskaya hromada. In total, during the day, they transported and handed over almost 800 liters of drinking bottled water to the residents.
