Police officers of Lviv region have exposed the deputy head of one of the AHs in bribery
The official was already detained for a bribe last year. For now, his “track record” has been replenished with another suspicion. For the committed act, the defendant may face up to 8 years in prison.
Operatives of the Regional Directorate of Strategic Investigations together with police investigators have exposed the deputy mayor of one of the territorial communities of the region. Taking advantage of his official position, he inclined entrepreneurs to provide illegal benefits for the production of permits for the export of land from a construction site in Lviv to one of the quarries in the region.
On February 11, the police detained the deputy chairman while receiving from the entrepreneur 15 thousand hryvnias of illegal benefits. The funds were seized at the place of detention, and the defendant was detained in accordance with Article 208 of the Criminal Procedure Code of Ukraine. He was declared a suspect in accordance with Part 3 of Art. 369-2 (Abuse of influence) CCU.
The issue of electing a precautionary measure to an official is being resolved.
