Dnipro police detained a man who staged a shooting in the city center
Police received a report of a shooting on Dmitry Yavornytskyi Avenue in Shevchenkivskyi district of the city. As established by law enforcement officers, a conflict arose on the street between the two men. During which the 36-year-old “shooter” got into the car and fired five shots from a traumatic pistol into the air.
Police officers detained the attacker in accordance with Art. 208 of the Criminal Procedure Code of Ukraine and the traumatic pistol was seized from him.
According to this fact, the investigators opened criminal proceedings under Part 4 of Art. 296 (hooliganism) of the Criminal Code of Ukraine. The sanction of the article provides for imprisonment for a period of three to seven years. A pre-trial investigation is ongoing.
