Threatened a neighbor to detonate a grenade under the door
The Kiev police received a report that a man threatened to detonate a grenade in one of the apartment buildings in the Svyatoshinsky district. Police special officers immediately arrived at the scene and disarmed the attacker. No one was hurt.
The incident happened the other day in the Svyatoshinsky district of the capital. Special Line 102 received a message from a local resident that a man was threatening to detonate a grenade in the common corridor of an apartment building. The police regiment of the special purpose police No. 1, the investigative and operational group of the district police department and employees of the explosives service immediately went to the scene.
Law enforcement officers determined that the attacker was a 45-year-old neighbor of the applicant. The police seized an F-1 grenade with ignition from the defendant, and during the search of his apartment they found more than 100 rounds of various calibers.
It was established that there was a conflict between the neighbors on domestic soil and with the help of threats of ammunition the attacker decided to dominate it.
The police detained the offender in accordance with Art. 208 of the Criminal Procedure Code of Ukraine. Information on the origin of the ammunition is currently being established.
Investigators, under the procedural guidance of the Svyatoshyn District Prosecutor's Office, notified the man of suspicion of committing a criminal offense provided for in Part 1 of Art. 263 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine - illegal handling of weapons, ammunition or explosives. During the pre-trial investigation, the court chose a preventive measure for the suspect - detention. An attacker can face from three to eight years in prison.
