Paid license plates: what is the cost and how to get
128 thousand paid license plates with certain combinations were issued in 2023. Ordinary - about 752 thousand.
The most popular combination among paid license plates remains 7777. 1110 of these were purchased in 2023. At 6666 the demand is smaller - 206 numbers.
In order to proportionally regulate the demand for the actual availability of license plates, it was decided to change the cost of paid license plates. For some popular combinations, the cost was increased, and for license plates with the number “6" there was a significant reduction. The innovations are valid from November 18.
Previously, 6666 cost 36 thousand hryvnias, now - 12 thousand hryvnias. For license plates with combinations 0001, 0007 and 7777, the cost was increased from 36 thousand hryvnias to 96 thousand hryvnias (with VAT 20%).
If a person wants to purchase a vehicle, the buyer and seller must contact the service center of the Ministry of Internal Affairs for re-registration and make payment for:
- certificate of re-registration of the car - 405 UAH;
- administrative service - 200 UAH;
- ordinary license plate - about 350 UAH (for cars), and 120 UAH (motorcycles, mopeds, trailers);
- if you choose a paid license plate, then pay according to the specified combination.
Also, the driver has the choice to select a certain combination of numbers from ordinary license plates in the service center of the Ministry of Internal Affairs. It will cost 360 hryvnias.
Car owners have the opportunity to receive license plates in the service center of the Ministry of Internal Affairs in any region, regardless of their place of registration.
