Went to fight from the beginning of a full-scale invasion and defended the Serebryansky forest: the story of the guard
A serviceman of the National Guard of Ukraine with the nickname Khortytsya shared his combat experience. Before the beginning of the full-scale invasion, the guard worked as an ordinary driver. He currently serves in the 25th Brigade named after Prince Ascold.
Immediately after joining the ranks of the National Guard, the unit “Khortici” arrived at the place of deployment at night, and already in the morning the guys consolidated in their positions. The positions were held in the Serebryansk forest. Fighting there is complicated by low visibility and close proximity to enemy positions.
“There are a dozen drones in the sky on a constant basis, the buzzing of which is not heard: they are blocked by constant shelling and gunfights. There are also advantages of wooded terrain, when drones get very close, you can disguise yourself behind trees or, to be more precise, what is left of them,” the fighter recalls.
Currently, the guard is restored and continues his military service in the 25th Brigade named after Prince Ascold of the Northern ATO of the National Guard of Ukraine. He plans to continue to serve and protect his native land.
