After winning the Invictus Games, the veterans of the National Guard returned to the National Guard and are again defending Ukraine.

Recall that on April 22, the international sports competitions among veterans and servicemen of the Invictus Games The Hague 2020 ended in The Hague, where the Ukrainian national team won 16 medals: 5 gold, 5 silver and 6 bronze.

Three of the participants are veterans of NGU. Rodion Sitdikov won gold in the core push. Dmitry Afanasiev as part of the team of Ukrainian archers won a silver medal. Igor Galushka won 2 awards: for rowing on simulators for 4 minutes — gold, for 1 minute — silver.

In addition to charging for victory and demonstrating the irresistible Ukrainian spirit, representatives of Ukraine tried to convey the cry of the soul of Ukraine. “Save Mariupol” — with this inscription on the flag Igor Galushka climbed to the pedestal with his gold medal. “My brothers are now fighting in Mariupol surrounded, without sufficient supplies and ammunition. They defend the Ukrainian land there and it is thanks to their courage and strength that I can fight here! They give me strength!” - Igor says about his motivation to fight.

With the outbreak of a full-scale war, they came to mobilize in the National Guard and now, after winning international competitions among wounded soldiers, went into service.
