Fire trucks of the State Emergency Service continue demining the territory of Ukraine
In Chernihiv and Donetsk regions, sappers continue demining and clearing the territory of the regions.
In particular, during the past weekend in the territory of Donetsk region pyrotechnic groups of the Rescue Service:
- processed 36 applications on the territory of Volnovsky, Kramatorsk and Pokrovsky districts; - 163 units of GNP were found;
- surveyed 6,776 hectares of territory for the presence of GNP.
Of these, 154 GNP units were detected by the dedicated forces and means of the State Emergency Service of Ukraine, 6,602 hectares of territory were examined for the presence of GNP.
Also, from April 17 to 24, the calculations of part of the pyrotechnic works of the Emergency and Rescue Squad of the Special Purpose Department of the State Emergency Service of Ukraine in the Chernihiv region processed 42 appeals, during which 69 explosive objects were seized and removed.
All ammunition was transported on special vehicles by trained pyrotechnics specialists in compliance with safety rules to the sorting site, where they will be destroyed in the future.
In total, since the start of hostilities, the SNS sappers have seized 5,156 munitions and responded to 4,517 calls.
Rescuers of the State Emergency Service of Ukraine appeal to the residents of the region with a request to be vigilant, in case of detection of an explosive object in any case, do not touch it, move to a safe distance and immediately call the emergency services at the numbers “101” or “102”.
