Pyrotechnic units of the State Emergency Service continue demining the de-occupied territories of Ukraine
Ukraine is currently one of the most mined countries in the world, and the process of demining is tens of times longer and more complicated than mining: these works require time, resources and care.
Thus, pyrotechnic units work daily on the territory of Kyiv region, which carry out work on the demining of de-occupied territories, go to process applications from the civilian population and simultaneously conduct preventive conversations with the population.
During May 8 alone, pyrotechnic units were involved 15 times. During the day, it was possible to clear more than 133 hectares of territory, and these are agricultural lands, and water bodies, as well as forest areas and households. In total, 17 explosive devices were detected and defused.
Of course, today we know that there is such a danger. But in addition to understanding this fact itself, it is also important to know how to recognize explosive objects, and what to do when they are seen. Today, such knowledge is already a necessity. Therefore, the State Emergency Service of Ukraine urges citizens to follow a simple sequence of actions when detecting suspicious objects. In no case do not touch them, move away at least 100 meters, fence the place of the find with improvised things (sticks, rags, stones) and call specialists at numbers 101 or 102.
