Results of the first year of operation of the checkpoint “Krasnoilsk”, located on the border with Romania
On November 10, 2022, with the participation of the heads of the governments of Ukraine and Romania - Denis Shmygal and Nikolay Chuke, the international automobile checkpoint “Krasnoilsk - Vikov de Sus” was opened.
During the first year of operation of the checkpoint, more than 432 thousand citizens from 47 countries of the world crossed the Ukrainian-Romanian border here (334 thousand citizens of Ukraine, 91 thousand citizens of Romania and 7 thousand citizens of other countries).
In the prescribed order, more than 172 thousand vehicles (118 thousand cars, 54 thousand trucks and more than 300 buses) were registered.
In the course of their work, the border guards prevented illegal movement of goods across the state border in the total amount of more than 8.5 million hryvnias in 52 cases. In particular, 62 units of weapons and ammunition, 13 vehicles and 30,000 packs of tobacco products were seized.
The State Border Guard Service of Ukraine reminds that the checkpoint “Krasnoilsk” is open around the clock for pedestrian and road traffic (including buses). Currently, according to the decision of the Romanian side, only empty trucks are passed.
