National Police and State Emergency Service Units Will Provide Security During Rosh Ha-Shan Celebration in Uman
Until the end of the celebrations of the Jewish New Year Rosh Hashanah, police officers will provide security for both locals and foreign guests in Uman. Almost 150 rescuers and 35 units of equipment will be involved to respond promptly to emergencies at pilgrim gathering places.
Fire, diving, chemical and rescue posts will also start work. The duty will also be carried by the doctors of the State Emergency Service.
In the city, the sale of pyrotechnic products is prohibited, and the sale of alcoholic and low-alcohol drinks is prohibited in the pilgrimage area.
In addition, police and rescuers will carry out information and clarification work among Hasidic pilgrims and residents of the neighborhood.
Recall that in the period from September 12 to 19, in Uman, Hasidim from all over the world will celebrate Rosh HaShan, 5784 New Year according to the Jewish calendar.
