The units of the Ministry of Internal Affairs celebrated the World Day of Embroidery
Military of the State Border Service and the National Guard, policemen, rescuers and civil servants celebrated World Embroidery Day - a day of national identity and our path to Victory and, as a result, to true freedom.
Mass events on the occasion of the holiday, the main purpose of which is the revival of true Ukrainian traditions and values, are not held in the conditions of martial law. But this does not prevent each of us from participating in its celebration. Even the military uses elements of embroidery in uniform.
Ukrainian vyshyvanka is not just festive clothing. From time immemorial, a shirt embroidered by a wife or mother was considered a powerful amulet. Therefore, today, the staff of medical institutions of departmental hospitals of the Ministry of Internal Affairs presented embroidered shirts to the wounded heroes who are being treated and undergoing rehabilitation.
Each region of Ukraine has its own traditions of embroidery and symbolism of ornaments, but invariably only one thing: vyshyvanka is part of the genetic code of the Ukrainian.
Also today, wearing a vyshyvanka is one of the forms of gratitude to our defenders, for their courage and heroism in the defense of the Motherland.
