During a business trip in the area of the Joint Economic Cooperation Organization, the Minister of Internal Affairs Denis Monastyrska visited the advanced positions in the area of the village of Novoluhanske, Donetsk region.

This position in the past few days has been subjected to active attacks by enemy barrel artillery of the calibers prohibited by the Minsk agreements. On the eve of the rupture of an artillery shell, a Ukrainian soldier was wounded here.

After a brief review of the combat orders, the Minister of Internal Affairs noted that the fighters holding these lines have an extraordinary fighting spirit.

“The guys are ready for any scenario. There is a tight defense, our troops hold these positions and are ready to do so in the future,” said Denis Monastyrsky.

The head of the Ministry of Internal Affairs stressed that only the weapons stipulated by the Minsk agreements are used from the Ukrainian side. Instead, the enemy actively uses artillery, which under these agreements should have been reserved.

Ukrainian law enforcement agencies are ready to block any attempts at internal destabilization in the state. According to the Minister, now in the rear areas and in the city of Kiev, the National Police and the National Guard have been transferred to a reinforced service mode and are ready to block attempts to destabilize the internal situation.

Recall that due to regular shelling of militants, the operation of the Checkpoint “Shchastia” has been suspended. Yesterday, the occupiers targeted Shchastya checkpoint with mortars, large-caliber machine guns and anti-tank grenade launchers. There are no casualties among personnel. Infrastructure has been damaged.
