The units of the State Emergency Service and forestry workers coordinate actions in case of forest fires
The fire danger period has already begun, the threat of forest fires in the Kiev region is relevant every year. That is why rescuers conduct fire training with foresters in advance to increase the level of fire safety.
Employees of the branch “Boryspil Forestry” of the State Special Economic Enterprise “Forests of Ukraine” together with rescuers of Boryspil district conducted exercises that took place near the village of Voronkiv in the Kyiliv forestry.
Here, according to the plan, there was a forest fire, which quickly spread towards the settlement. The situation was complicated by the fact that after military actions due to Russian aggression, the forest area was partially mined.
Pyrotechnic units were the first to start working. At the same time, reconnaissance of the direction of movement of the conditional fire was carried out using a drone.
They extinguished the conditional fire with the help of backpack fire extinguishers, motor pumps, fire trucks. Also, the tractor plowed a mineralized strip to cut off the spread of fire.
During the exercise, rescuers and foresters once again worked out the mechanism for eliminating the forest fire and coordinating the units involved in the extinguishing.
