Fire of cane in Dnipropetrovsk region: two children injured
On May 3, the Rescue Service “101” received a message that a reed was burning near the street Suburban Pokrovsky district of the city of Kryvyi Rih.
An additional detachment of Kryvyi Rih firefighters was immediately sent to the call.
Upon the arrival of rescuers to the scene, it was found that reeds were burning near the reservoir and due to gusts of wind, the fire was spreading rapidly. Rescuers were approached by two children with existing thermal burns. According to the boys, they were sitting on a fishing pier and fishing. Surprisingly, they heard a noise behind, looked around and saw a large flame and smoke. Frightened, the children ran through the burning cane to the shore. As a result, the boy born in 2012 received thermal burns of the face and upper limbs (I, II - degrees). Another, born in 2010, received thermal burns of his left shoulder (grade I). Emergency medical workers provided first aid to the children and were hospitalized in the city's medical facility.
As a result of the fire, cane on an area of 4 hectares was destroyed.
